Israeli's Morn Dead
Palestinian's Morn Dead

Eight rabbinical students killed at school
after week of Israeli raids into Gaza.

Ten others were wounded in the most lethal attack in Israel in two years .Despite some initial reports there has been no claim of responsibility for the attack, but it was greeted with celebrations in the Gaza Strip, where an Israeli offensive in recent days killed more than 120 Palestinians, about half of whom were identified as civilians.

Outside the seminary, young Orthodox Jews in traditional black costume chanted periodically "Death to Arabs!"

A city official said the assailant carried documents identifying him as a resident of Arab East Jerusalem.

An emergency session of the United Nations failed to condemn the massacre after objections from several council members prevented it's adoption. The Libyans wanted to include in the statement language condemning the recent Israeli incursions into Gaza.

The attacker was shot dead by an off-duty Israeli soldier who lived nearby.

The report comes hot on the heels of the Israeli military action in the Gaza Strip that killed 125 people over the past week.

Democrats in Michigan and Florida cast ballots in presidential primaries but under party rules their votes didn't count toward picking a nominee, thus: Dems puzzle over primary redo.

In this week primary elections Wyoming Democrats were basking in the political spotlight and the results were Obama trounces Clinton in Wyoming. (Although can't be confirmed for couple of weeks this should add about 7 delegates for Obama and 4 for Clinton)

In Mississippi this week Democrats want to stop Republicans from voting in it's open primary, implying a Mississippi Republican conspiracy that violates 'rights to associate."

New Research Confirms Antarctic Thaw Fears

glacier_melt

Antarctica's glaciers are shrinking at a far faster rate than in past millennia.

Satellite measurements taken between 1992 and 1996, though, show a loss of 1.6 meters in thickness per year on the Pine Island Glacier -- a figure that represents 42 times the average melt of the past 4,700 years.

Why Antarctica's glaciers are shrinking is a question that still is not agreed upon. It is also unclear how much the thaw in Antarctica will contribute in the future to an increase in sea level-- but the fact that it will is considered certain.
