Democrats Settle Michigan & Florida
The Deal A Death Knell for Clinton's Hopes

Partisan audience became a mob, harassing the Democratic Party's Rules and Bylaws Committee with boos, hisses, cheers and raucous commentary

The lack of decorum in the hall was barely elevated from that of the sidewalk outside the hotel, where several hundred Hillary Clinton supporters chanted "Count every vote!" and waved signs announcing "Count my vote or count me out."

The contentious committee's rulings gave Clinton a net increase of 24 delegates from the two states, but that number fell far short of the delegate haul she was hoping for

The months long dispute over rogue primaries in Michigan and Florida on Saturday, ended with the decision to seat the delegations but with only half their votes and all but securing the presidential nomination for Sen. Barack Obaman.

The Clinton campaign was satisfied with the Florida resolution, which awarded delegates based on the proportion of the vote. But the campaign took issue with the Michigan case, where Obama had removed his name from the ballot. The compromise, proposed by the Michigan state party, allotted 69 delegates to Clinton and 59 to Obama. Clinton aides argued that Obama should get no votes from the state.
