The Wars for Oil are disgusting and all the propaganda that comes with it. None of the official reasons give hold water.
A one-sided blind commitment to Israel a tragic mistake and a great distortion of what are interests and priorities should be. We should be doing things for the sake of this country, not some other nation. It's like the tail wagging the dog.
Watching our Federal Reserve officials and Wall Street bankers and brokers is like watching a bank robbery in progress.
FEMA still can't handle a natural disaster.
The FDA and other government agencies are giving out triple figure bonuses to their big bosses while drugs are being approved due to bribes.
Our airport security is driving people crazy and the added lunacy to it is that if any terrorist wanted to, they could walk across our border with Mexico as is done by thousands (thousands!) everyday.
Jobs are down. Housing prices falling through the roof.
Not only has the cost of gas more than doubled since George Bush took office but the price of a can of beans or a gallon of milk has similarly shot up.
Our legal system is like sitting on the toilet all day to get a drop of poop to pop out -- and without not much relief. The lawyers get rich and justice is a joke they laugh about.
Everything the government does appears incompetent, corrupt, greedy, disdainful, arrogant and deceitful.
Our prisons are over crowded with the largest prison population in the world and they are considered cesspools of danger, gangs, and homosexual rape.
Un-funded liabilities like Social Security are now considered unsustainable. Medicare is costing billions more than expected and full of awesome corruption by insurance companies and even some doctors.
To say there is a hole in the bucket is a gross understatement. The bucket is shot full of holes. I don't know how the next generation is going to be able to handle it.
Something has to change and not just better leaders, but power put back in our Constitution and power put back in people's hands, not a government just for the rich.
This government is like a run away train careening downhill and out of control and that's a hard thing to stop.
Picking our leaders with a lottery would be better than the way we do it now.
We're not the good guys anymore, if that is not already as crystal clear as crystal clear bubbling spring water.

Our nation is on a long, explosive, dusty ride in the desert. At the end of the road is the White Sands Missile Range and a spot called 'The Trinity Site,' where the first atomic bomb was tested. It's very hot out there and no hamburger stands or gas stations, not even a tourist shops to sell atomic bomb momentous.
Tourists or the handful of pilgrims who make this journey do sometimes, though, pick up shards of green glass that litter the area. It's called 'trinity glass,' and was a result of the explosion turning the white sands into glass.
Jesus turned water into wine, it is said, and we turned white sand into atomic melted glass.
Desert people know you don't make a trip out to a place like that without more than five (5) gallons of water in your vehicle. Once on an extended weekend desert trip I carried ten (10) gallons of water and when I raised the hatchback of my Rover one of the five gallon buckets had sprung a leak and it's water all gone.
I would rather be 'up *hit creek without a paddle' than in the desert with no water.
I canceled the trip. Turned around.
When I got back home I threw away the busted bucket in disgust, purchased a more robust container like the ones commonly used on work sites.
Now I sense our nation has a hole in its bucket and some of it's essential life fluid is draining away. I wonder if we can grasp the danger and know we must turn around, go back home and realize we must get a more robust democracy. Sometimes people who haven't lived in a desert don't realize the danger in running out of water: It means death.
No one wants to be Cassandra. or some Chicken Little crying out the sky is falling, but in truth something is draining away, something being lost, something vital, something important.
A.C.T. has a 5-Part Patriot Plan. It normally sits modestly in the background but now we mention it for what it is: An Emergency Evacuation Plan.
The news of this week made all of us wonder if it was enough. Maybe we need a ten-part plan?
The thing about holes in a bucket is that they can't just be patched up with bandaid solutions. The leak will just happen again. Losing water. Making a mess.
There is one essential fact most of us learn in life: We have to clean up our own mess.
We're in quite a mess, a mess in the Middle East, a mess with this false propaganda of an endless Global War, a mess with the economy that may tailspin us into serious deep unemployment, recession and hard times.
Civil rights being trampled on is also a sign of bad times. Going through airport security is just a taste of how things are changing, airport security is a good metaphor for government actions behind the scenes that we often don't even see. All done, too, with the classic dictator's excuse that's it's for our own good, our security.
Instead of quality statesmen we are governed by sharks in suits, wolves in sheep's clothing.
Electing better leaders is one clear good thing to do and it appears the country agrees, but you have to wonder if we'll get to the next elections without another disaster, another rip off, another presidential pardon.
Or another war all done with lies, covert actions, private contractors, disdain for Congress and a Congress with disdain for what's right and what's wrong
and doing something about it.
All this wrongdoing and no accountability at all!
It makes you wonder what future generations will think. Bush and his cohorts must think: They think we the people can't do a damn thing about it.
But, We the People, are the only authority we had when this nation was started: It's a government founded on the consent of the governed.
It time to turn around and go back home. It's time to get a new bucket.
