The United States is stirring up rivalries that have existed for centuries and placing ourselves smack in the middle.
We should think carefully about reviving the Cold War, about starting more wars and about brushing off the concerns of other nations as mere "rhetoric."
Russia says a unilateral independence declaration by Kosovo is illegal and Kosovo's break away from Serbia is wrong and should not be supported by the United States, major EU countries and NATO, details. |
Who's are the good guys? Who's are the bad?
Do most Americans even know who's flag we're supporting?
The links between issues? The consequences? Or the real reasons why?
There was a U.S. Department of State summary, last year, of
"U.S.-Russia Relationship, Kosovo, and Missile Defense."
The flaw in this document and in United States' policy is thinking that the concerns and complaints of Russia as just talk, just "rhetoric."
The U.S. is putting missiles on Russia's border, the U.S. is grabbing control of resources and former Russian spheres of influence, and the U.S. makes threats of more wars in Iran, Syria, North Korea, Somalia/Africa, etc.
We just can keep on brainlessly thinking we're always wearing the white cowboy hats and everyone else is the "bad guys."
The world is not so black and white.
The confrontations in Serbia/Kosovo, in Iraq with Sunni/Shiites, in the Middle East with Arabs/Israel, etc. are serious problems we are part of causing.
