Like all nations, like all people, we seem to morn the most over our own dead but the staggering damage done to others in invasions is the greater crime, inflicted upon people who have no part in the conflict at all, such as the woman and children who make up half the causalities; or upon men who were guilty of nothing more than defending their homes.
