Pro Actions
Our cities, our states, our nation, the world, even ourselves and our work and our close relationships -- none of these things improve just by criticism.

On A.C.T.’s web site we also discuss ideas to improve government and society. We talk about family needs, health issues, the environment, positive energy policies, education, more realistic drug policies, immigration, prisons, lifestyle tolerance.

Although we have no ACTIONS that we ourselves are advocating in these areas we talk about the topics, we have ‘talking points,’ about these topics.

At times we also recommend the actions of other groups who are working in these areas.

Our web page for these ‘Talking Points,” can be found, here.http://www.americancitizenstogether.org/ACT/Web/Home1PoliticalAction.htmlshapeimage_2_link_0

Part of the two million people who gathered in Washington, D. C., for the inauguration of President Barack Obama, Jan. 20, 2009
A powerful vote of the American people has dramatically change the direction, the tone, the reality of this nation. We rescued ourselves from one of the lowest points in all of our history: the point where we not only saw the nation mislead into false wars with deliberate lies, but the low point where we began to act fascist towards ourselves, towards all the people.

We can not change the past.

We are not responsible for the past, just the present.

But if we can make the great positive change in leadership that we just did, then we can make positive changes in other areas as well.

Changes for a better today, changes that make a better tomorrow.

Maybe we can not change the past, but we can change the now.

Just because their were failures or hurtful policies or destructive realities in the past doesn’t mean we are condemned to repeat them, recycle them in some permanent loop..

We can move forward. The recent elections proved that.
